What it costs

All games and the Quiz are free. There is no subscription and nothing to buy inside the games.

There are no boosts, paid places or prizes in Arcade.

What is good about it

Limits, and what protects you

What to knowWhat protects you
There are no prizes, coins or money in the games or in the Quiz. The games are for fun. If someone offers you a paid "Kivu game prize" or asks for money to play, it is not from Kivu.
A game must be opened once with internet before it works offline. Online play and the Quiz always need internet.Open the games you like while you are on Wi-Fi; after that they open from the phone.
Saved games take space on the phone, and progress inside a game is kept by that game on your phone, not in your Kivu account. If you clear the browser data or change phones, saved games download again and progress in a game can be lost.
A few games are made for computers: they need a mouse and keyboard or a powerful device, and may be hard to play or not open on a cheap phone. These games are marked with a computer icon in the list. If a game is slow, choose a lighter one from the list.
Most games come from independent developers and are in English. Kivu did not write them all.Kivu checks each game before adding it and removes other companies' adverts and tracking code. Games run in a closed frame inside Kivu.
Quiz questions come from an open collection and are in English. Kivu does not write or check each question. They are general knowledge questions, not questions about Rwanda. The source and its licence are shown in the Quiz. If there are not enough questions for a category, the Quiz tells you to choose another one.
To play online you need to give the room code to the other person yourself. There is no automatic search for a stranger to play with.Send the code in Kivu Chat. This also means you choose who you play with.
AR games (with the phone camera) are not available yet.The "AR" tab says they are coming soon. Until they are in the app, do not count on them.
You need a free account even to play.Signing in is free, and it lets Kivu count one like per person.
