Ego and Soul is a contemporary dance duet created and performed by Jackson Richard and Mahmoud Mbega, exploring the internal conflict between human ego and the deeper self. The work investigates tension between desire, fear, identity and spiritual awareness. It reflects how we shift between a constructed identity and our authentic being. Ego represents resistance, control, survival and identity construction. Soul represents truth, surrender, presence and awareness. The duet becomes a space where these energies collide, mirror and transform each other. @jaqxon_ and @_mbega are Tanzanian contemporary dancers and choreographers who graduated from Muda Africa Dance School. Their work is rooted in the human experience: the emotions, relationships and thoughts people carry within and don’t always express. 🗓️ Friday 6 November · 7:30 PM · L’Espace 🗓️ Sunday 8 November · 11:30 AM · Goethe-Institut Bring your ego.
