Everyone leaves one day. Départ is a dance piece by choreographer Haloback Kabango. This time, it is performed by 12 young dancers from Gisimba Center. Haloback worked with the children and was moved by their stories and their daily lives. He shared his way of creating with them, and the children now carry the piece on stage. Leaving means change. It means starting a new story. But what do we do with our memories, and with the past that hurt us? Départ invites us to look inside, and to ask where we belong in the world. Come and watch these young dancers take their first step. 🤍 🗓 Sunday 8 November · 10:00 AM · 📍 Goethe-Institut #Depart #GisimbaCenter #HalobackKabango #IsôokoFestival2026 #GreatLakesFestival
