“Culture is our heritage; preserving it today means protecting our future.” Umuco mu Bato is about preserving our culture among young people, so that it does not disappear. At EFOTEC Kanombe, their cultural teacher Kwizera Samuel teaches Rwandan culture through dance and theatre. The students learn traditional dances, songs and drums. They also learn the origins and meanings behind them, so they understand their cultural identity and take responsibility for keeping it alive. Culture should not remain only in history. It must be passed from one generation to another, from elders to young people, and young people are its custodians. Come and watch them carry it forward. 📍 Goethe-Institut, Kigali 🗓 Sunday 8 November, 10:45 AM RSVP Link in our bio #Isôoko #IsôokoGreatLakesFestival #UmucoMuBato #EFOTEC #RwandanCulture
